Last Saturday, Photographers Michael White and Bob Arlen and I joined forces for a boating expedition on Blue Cypress Lake, west of Vero Beach, Florida. We found a tranquil, beautiful location and plan to go back as soon as possible!

This photo is one of many cypress trees growing up to several hundred yards from shore in the lake. Note that cypress don’t change color, that’s my creative twist in bringing autumn to Florida.

And, today I kick it off with a trip to Photoshop World in Las Vegas! I’ll be attending three days of madness, mayhem and intense Photoshop learning, and you can be sure I’ll be bringing the best tips right back here.

I’ll be Photo blogging the conference in conjunction with Photoshop.com, and I’ll keep you updated here with photos, links, news and updates – and more Photoshop tips.

This is just the beginning of travel season for me; over the next six weeks I’ll be bringing your daily dose of Hoffman Art Design goodness from a variety of locations. You can bet I’ll have travel photos to post also! So, stay tuned…

Indesign 6.0.4:

This update fixes many previous issues in the areas of Scripting, Master Pages, Digital Editions, Import/Export Graphics, as well as other miscellaneous issues. Read the release notes (pdf) for a canonical list of fixes.

This update does not address certain issues running Adobe InDesign CS4 on Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5.1-v10.5.5):

  • The Cmd-H keyboard shortcut doesn’t work to hide the InDesign application.
    The Place, Save, Save As or Export commands may cause crashes when using either the Adobe or the OS dialog box.

As a means of fixing these issues, Adobe recommends upgrading to Snow Leopard, OS X 10.6.1.

InCopy 6.0.4:

This update provides fixes several issues in the areas of hyphenation, INCX import as well as other miscellaneous issues.

As mentioned above for InDesign, this update doesn’t address the same Leopard issues, and again, Adobe recommends upgrading to Snow Leopard – OS X 10.6.1 – to solve these problems.

Both updates are available using the Adobe Updater service from with your Creative Suite applications.
