In Tampa, they have dragon boat races each year during the summer during the Duanwu Festival, or Dragon Boat Festival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duanwu_Festival) – in fact, surprisingly, Tampa is host to a world competition of dragon boat races (http://tampa2011.idbfworldchamps.com/). In case you were wondering what they do with the dragon boats when they aren't racing them… they sit around, moored at the dock, waiting for photographers 🙂
