Nyhavn, in Copenhagen, is one of the most colorful waterfronts I’ve seen

It's a waterfront district on a canal, and the north side (south facing, that is to say, the sunny side) is lined with beautiful old buildings, brightly and alternately colored. The docks are usually lined with old boats, and the sidewalk along the row of buildings serves as outdoor seating for the restaurants.

Even in the colder weather, you'll find people seated outside, huddled near electric heaters under the large umbrellas (complementary blankets are placed on each chair). It's a very quaint and fun place to visit, to enjoy a sandwich or plate of fish, and have a cold Danish beer.
